About the Course
The Science + Art of the Mind is a semester-long course taught by Peter Nadin at
The Cooper Union.
The course has three main goals:
- To familiarize the students with the general macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the brain.
- To familiarize the students with the current theories of consciousness.
- To explore how the biological processes of the brain and theories of consciousness are related to visual culture and artistic practice.
